Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his unique blend of soul gospel jazz R&B and R&B. She's performed on Broadway as well as at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine's given name is Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta but her origins are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop a musical career singing and playing the piano at church. She studied at Spellman College and began to learn the R&B styles of Atlanta. The very debut song featuring her voice was Stalk You the Japanese version of 12; since then it was remixed and has become a element of her set. She has also contributed her voice to the music of The Fighting Temptations. The band was hired as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) was approached for the position of choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally during her four daily performances in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing during President Obama's 2009 inauguration.
