Her tragic murder by a gunman triggered the outpouring of emotions within Latino communities, similar with the reaction to the deaths of Elvis Presley as well as John Lennon's. The most well-known Latino performer throughout North America, Selena's music has touched many lives across cultures. Selena is a stunning and sexy performer. She's often referred to in the media as Latina Madonna. She's also considered a role model to be reckoned with because off stage Selena has a family-oriented attitude and actively participates in anti-drug programs.
