Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously after enrolling first as a student at Stanford University. Her early successes in her acting career included movies like Pleasantville and Election, but her role in Elle Woods was the turning moment for her. Witherspoon was awarded the Academy Award in the year 2005 for Walk the Line. Water for Elephants this means war and Wild were two of her recent films, for which she was recognized as a nominee for the Oscar. Witherspoon is also a hit on the television screen, having has been a producer and co-star of David E. Kelley's Award-winning TV program Big Little Lies. Witherspoon was born Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon on February 22, 1976, on the 22nd of March in New Orleans Louisiana. She then studied English at Stanford University for a brief time before she decided to return to working. Her career began in the early 2000s appearing in a number of smaller television roles. in 2003 The Invisible Man was her first feature film. Then, she appeared in a variety of shows on television, such as House of Lies Whitney, Better Call Saul and The Invisible Man. In addition to her acting career her appearances in films like The Dictator or The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Along with her career as an actor, she is also an artist who has shown her work in numerous galleries.
